Reminder of our meeting for new families
Dear Parents and Guardians
We look forward to meeting you all at our introductory evening for parents of new Junior Infants on Monday, 16 June at 7.30 p.m. We have thirteen new Junior Infant children enrolled.
We shall discuss how to prepare your child for school, realistic standards of behaviour and realistic targets for your child in his or her first year of school. We shall also give an overview of our school and the many activities that go on here.
A representative from our Parents’ Association will give a brief talk about the work of our PA. We are blessed to have great support from our PA and this affords us many opportunities to do many of the activities we enjoy. Parents can also make contacts with whom they can liaise, which is especially important if you are a new parent to the school.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and we shall finish with a cup of tea and a biscuit, kindly provided by the PA; we know that is where the ‘real talking’ will take place.
It is important that at least one parent of each child attends this informal and informative meeting, but both parents are most welcome to attend.
